V-0 flammability rating - low smoke and toxic gas emission when burned.Highly resistant to thermal degradation - can be used in steam and hot water.Maximum continuous working temperature of 480☏.PEEK is a high strength alternative to fluoropolymers and is a versatile, high performance plastic. These qualities combined with PEEK's superior chemical resistance make it an effective replacement for metal and stainless steel parts in harsh environments. PEEK has a maximum continuous working temperature of 480☏ and can retain its physical properties even when continuously exposed to high moisture sources such as steam and hot water. Unfilled natural PolyEtherEtherKetone (PEEK) tubes have chemical and hydrolysis resistances similar to PPS, but are resistant to high temperatures and can operate in higher heat areas where PPS cannot. The measuring tape self-adjusts to guarantee an accurate measurement (as far as the tape is concerned). When making an inside measurement (where the hook will push up against a surface), the clip slides in, again, accounting for its thickness. ![]() An outside measurement (where the hook of the tape hangs over an edge), requires the hook to slide out a bit to account for the thickness of the material. But costs occasionally leak out due to complaints from users. The sliding end hook is designed for two different types of measurements. Plastics producers keep an extremely tight lid on prices of implantable grades such as PEEK, and require customers to sign secrecy agreements on pricing. Please be aware that some measuring tapes may have even smaller increments.įeatures of a Measuring Tape: Sliding End Hook For example, 1/2" has a bigger mark than 1/4" which has a bigger mark than 1/8". As the increments decrease, so does the length of the mark. Measure by counting the increments beyond the nearest inch. In between the inch markers you’ll find 16 equally spaced tick marks. As each cut is nominal, even the slightest miscalculation could be costly.Įxtend your tape measure several inches to find the 1 and 2 inch markers. Since custom cuts and fabricated parts are non-refundable, be very careful while measuring your dimensions. Please review our full return and shipping policy here. Cut-to-size orders have an acceptable cut tolerance of 1/8" (0.125"), so clarify if the adjustment is to be made on the (+) or (-) side of the saw blade. If you need an over- or undersized item, note it under "Comments" during Checkout. How To Measure and Cut-To-Size Policy Īs per our Shipping and Returns Policy, custom cuts and fabricated parts are non-returnable. ![]()
